Monmouth defeats William & Mary 68-64

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Jack Collins had 15 points in Monmouth’s 68-64 victory over William & Mary on Thursday night.

Collins added seven rebounds for the Hawks (13-11, 6-5 Coastal Athletic Association). Cornelius Robinson Jr. added 12 points while shooting 4 of 7 from the field and 4 for 5 from the line, and he also had five rebounds. Jaret Valencia shot 4 of 8 from the field and 3 for 6 from the line to finish with 11 points.

The Tribe (8-16, 3-8) were led in scoring by Trey Moss, who finished with 20 points. Chase Lowe added 17 points, 16 rebounds and five assists for William & Mary. In addition, Gabe Dorsey finished with 13 points.

Abdi Bashir Jr. put up six points in the first half for Monmouth, which led 37-23 at halftime. Collins led Monmouth with nine points in the second half.
