Slack’s 18 help Northwestern State take down Incarnate Word 81-61

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Jae Slack’s 18 points helped Northwestern State defeat Incarnate Word 81-61 on Saturday night.

Slack was 6 of 8 shooting (5 for 7 from 3-point range) for the Demons (8-18, 6-7 Southland Conference). Chase Forte scored 15 points while shooting 5 of 9 from the field and 5 for 6 from the line, and added seven rebounds. Jimel Lane went 6 of 10 from the field to finish with 14 points.

Alex Anderson led the Cardinals (8-17, 3-9) in scoring, finishing with 20 points. Sky Wicks added nine points and seven rebounds for Incarnate Word. In addition, Davante Dennis had seven points.
