Earlier today, we brought you news that Telltale Games, the studio best known for hits like The Walking Dead (pictured, above) and A Wolf Among Us has a new CEO: President and co-founder Kevin Bruner is taking over from co-founder Dan Connors.
What do those games have in common? They’re both based on existing IP, as are the company’s Tales from the Borderlands and A Game of Thrones, among many others. Bruner told Gamasutra that the studio, however, is putting work into developing original IP.
When questioned by Gamasutra, this is what he had to say:
“We don’t have anything to announce specifically right now, but I do think that when we look at our format — what we do, and the way we entertain people — we spend a lot of time thinking about, ‘What if we built a piece of content that’s specifically designed to do everything that’s perfect for us?’ And there’s been a lot of energy put in that direction. I think we’ll be talking more about what that energy is creating in the relatively near future. I wouldn’t say next week, but it certainly won’t be 10 years before you hear about it.”
